I stopped Eating pork because the Lord God Almighty The Creator of the universe spoke to me that I was not to eat it. He knows what is best for me! My hearts desire is to do His Will. God Bless!

I will eat pork if it is being serve to me (out of being polite). Other than that, just like you I gave up pork.

hi rex,

very recently i heard someone say pigs eat whatever they can chew, including their own feces. he even mentioned an experiment with 4 pigs, one cage on top of the other stacked vertically, wherein only the top pig was fed and the 3 below consumed only the feces of the one above, concluding that at the end of the experiment all 4 were still alive with the one at the bottom gaining the most weight!
i want to research on this but could not find (or have not yet found) any references. do you think this is true or he is only babbling on pig sh*t?

Rky, for a short answer, I decided not to eat pork because I told myself not to. Much of this blog post gives reference to Bible verses but they are not the main reasons I stopped eating pork.

To summarize the blog post above, the decision to try to stop eating pork was made when a friend told me pork inhibits one’s ability to concentrate. That decision was soon reinforced by Biblical passages and my subtle desire to be vegetarian.

As a Christian, I place much weight on the scriptures although I am still in the process of studying them. I said “I’d rather be safe than sorry” in reference to the Bible verses. The consequence I would like to avoid is displeasing my Lord and Creator.

I have neither sadness nor regret for deciding to stop eating pork and I am not trying to convince anyone with this blog post.

So sad are the people who base their daily decisions on things found in a book wrote by hundreds of people for over 2000 years and mostly based on faith and beliefs of those who lived 2 milleniums ago. No reasonable explanation was ever published on why we should not eat pork or pork-based recipes.

“I decided not to eat pork” Why?
“I’d rather be safe than sorry” What are the consequences?

Shall you provide me/us that you did not make that decision reliying on religious beliefs (or religious scripts) and convice me that pork is a dirty meat, I WILL stop eating pork forever.
Don’t anyone get me wrong. I do respect all human beings regardless their faith but I’m a person of facts not fairy tales.
