Got this a few minutes ago.
Dear anak,
Naipadala ko na ang P50,000 na pang tuition mo, pinagbili na namin yung kalabaw. Ang mahal pala yung Counter Strike na kurso! Wala na rin tayong mga baboy, naipagbili na rin namin para dun sa cnasabi mong project, nokia N75 ba yun? Ang mahal naman ng project mo! Kasama din dun ang P7000 para sa field trip nyo sa Mall of Asia. Malayo ba yun, bakit ang mahal? Isasanla pa namin palayan para mabili mo ung instrumentong i-pod. Napailaw nyo na ba yung pinagpupuyatan nyong san mig lights? Sana grumaduate kana anak.

Hi Rex! Is this text for real? No, too good to be true, but, it immediately reminded me of my eldest son (20 years old). He does not want to stay and study closer with us (Hamilton, Ontario) . He went to London just to be away from us. Our family friends told us, let him be so that he’ll learn to be independent. I hope the hardest way. We’re so hard up that we drew a student loan for him. Of course, guess who’s the guarantor? When we went to check on him, he’s room (shared accomodation among 6 of them) was full of luxury…big screen TV, laptop, etc..etc. I told him during our time we can’t afford such luxury! Guess again, his respone was, that was your time dad! Kids, kids now days… or should I say, adults? No, no, no…Adults should be responsible, sensitive and considerate!

I thought so, Rex! It was really hilarious and I had a blast reading it. Though it instantIy reminded me of my son who demanded to be treated like an adult but not behaving as one. Nevertheless, I shared the joke with my friends and relatives here in Canada. I hope it’s alright with you.
By the way Rex, I dropped a comment on Marcos’s Flickr blog wherein there where four of you in the pix. I know your face (with glasses) and Marcos’s. Who’s the other two there?

Speaking of Explore Iloilo, is Marcos on furlough? I noticed that his blogsite has not changed for the past 2 weeks already. I know, you (or did he?) just added some few pix of fireworks you’ve taken from some special occasion and that was it. I surmised that he’s probably preparing for the upcoming nursing board exam. If you happen to see him, just extend my warm greetings to him and God bless for his exam. Thanks, Rex, I owe you one.

Lee, the other two at Coffeebreak were Collin and Leii. Those are their pseudonyms since I can’t recall their real names.
On Marc, yes he is busy reviewing for their licensure exams. We’re all busy these days, myself with my exams and papers. Nevertheless, I’ll make sure I send him your regards.
