The flash on the Cannon is not flimsy, it's just annoying in that it always pops up. The Cannon actually feels more substantial. However, it's thicker and heavier. I'm returning the Cannon however. It doesn't bracket, doesn't have the 25mm and cost $100 more. I paid $230 for the Panasonic in California. Good review. I too bought a ZS1 and I also bought a SX200.
