Rex Delsar Basas Dianala is currently an Information Assistant at the Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC). He is also a part-time student at the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) taking Master of Science in Fisheries (Aquaculture).
If he is not staying in the Balay Lampirong dormitory of UPV, he is living with his parents in Jaro District, Iloilo City, Philippines.
Hi Rex. Just stumbbled in at your blog while surfing Marcos C.’s Explore Iloilo. Are you related to the Rev. Dianala from CPU? He used to be one of the faculties while I was there in the mid 70’s (probably when you where not around yet!). Say hi to him for me even though he does not know me personally, okay? Basta Ilonggo, amigohay!!
Hi Lee, Rev. Dianala is my grandfather. I’m sorry to say he already passed away eleven years ago. Nevertheless, I’ll let my grandma know you said hi. She was also a teacher in CPU. Thanks for dropping by! It’s nice to hear from someone who remembers my grandfather.
I’m sure you miss your grandpa, Rex. But, on the other hand, as Christians, we rejoice for them who passed on for we know they are with our Father in heaven! Hey, you know what, I’ve got good memories of your grandpa. If I’m not mistaken, he used to be our religion teacher and he was involved with us at the CPU student republic (I used to be an Arts & Sciences representative-minority floor leader).
Have a good day now and Lord bless!
